Academic and Research Laboratories

COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS LABORATORY

Communication systems laboratory is intended for doing fundamental experiments related to Analog and Digital communications. It is equipped with requisite equipments such as CROs, DSOs, function generators and power supplies etc., This laboratory is also provided with the number of PCs, so that the students can simulate and validate their design using MATLAB. etc.

RESEARCH SCHOLARS LABORATORY

The department has research scholars working in diverse fields. They are provided with a separate area with computing facilities, internet with online journals and electronic resources.

CIRCUITS AND DEVICES LABORATORY

The laboratory is utilized for doing basic Electronics experiments,  Electronic circuits I and Electronic circuits II experiments, of the first and second year ECE program. It is well equipped with latest measuring Instruments, CROs, Function Generators and Power supplies.

MICROWAVE AND OPTICAL COMMUNICATION LABORATORY

Microwave laboratory is equipped with Klystron, Gunn diode and passive components working in the range between 8-12 GHz. Fiber optical communication laboratory is equipped with OTDR, optical sources and detectors. This will help the students understand the basic knowledge about microwave communication and fiber optical communication.

DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSING LABORATORY

The Digital signal processing(DSP) laboratory provides the practical experience with the simulation and development of fundamental concepts of digital signal processing using standardized environment such as MATLAB (Matrix laboratory) and Code composer studio.

NETWORKING LABORATORY

Networking laboratory  provides the infrastructure to the  UG, PG programmes and research scholars.  Department of Electronics and Engineering had undergone an agreement with CISCO systems. The facilities available in the laboratory are  LAN trainer kits, Different layer devices such as hub, switch, router, layer 3 switch wireless access points and simulators such as NS2, NS3, BWSIM, Qualnet .

VLSI LABORATORY

The VLSI design laboratory helps the UG and PG students, research scholars and all enthusiasts to acquire much needed concepts in digital and analog design to deal with different hardware implementations in simulation level and in real time. VLSI design laboratory is equipped with the desktop computers with VLSI design soft wares and hardware boards.

RESEARCH (NHHID) LABORATORY

Biomedical signal and image processing research is carried out in NHHID (National Hub for health care Instrumentation and development) laboratory.

RF LABORATORY

The RF laboratory originally proposed to cater the RF laboratory syllabus of UG (B.E ECE) curriculum under R 2004 syllabus. It has been upgraded by equipments procured under DST–FIST (2005) and subsequently well established by TEQIP (2007) grants. It serves in design and testing of high frequency gadgets developed by UG, PG and Research scholars of the department. The laboratory has test and measuring equipments up to 8 GHz. A large number of industrial consultancy projects have been undertaking in this laboratory. It also provides test certification for industrial products. The laboratory is actively supported by RF companies such as RFMD, Amphenol Omniconnect ltd and Radio studio. It also caters for the needs of small and tiny industries involved in the development of RF products.

OPTO MECHATRONICS LABORATORY

The R & D lab is established in the year 2016. It is equipped with high-end equipments such as Pulsed Nd:YAG laser system with 2W and 3W harmonic generators, High Pressure Cell with 6 Optical Quartz windows, Spectrometer, Monochromator, NVIDIA TitanX GPU, ZynQ Ultrascale boards and Microcontroller development boards.
