AIM :

      Everyone should realise that they should contribute in some way to the  society which nurtured them. 

      We, at the ROTARACT CLUB OF MIT strive in every possible way to install the seeds of service among the students.

ACTIVITIES :

ORPHANAGE VISIT: 

      Visits are made to the near by orphanages on weekends and on special occasions. We provide the children with needed mental strength and other essential things. Maximum of 3 visits are made every semester.

GOONJ:  

       We collect old clothes and books from our students and make themreach the needy in states like Orissa and so on. 

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS: 

       Paint your birthday in new colours –Rotaract Club organises your birthday celebration at an orphanage – more joy and more wishes will come your way!

SEMINAR:

       Seminars on EXNORA (solid waste management), Tobacco &Smoking hazards and career guidance are planned to be conducted for our college students.

ROTOFEST:

       An annual festival for the differently abled children. It holds at MIT premises.

SPARISH:

       A festival for orphanage children. During which various events are conducted and lots of prizes are given out to encourage the young talents of the children. Lunch is provided at our mess and MIT students entertain the children for the whole day.

BLOOD DONATION CAMP:

       A Blood Donation Camp is organised every year in association with Youth Red Cross.

TREKKING :

       First Year Students are taken to Tirusulam hillock every year.

SCHOOL TEACHING

      Volunteers from RC of MIT visit the nearby government schoold on periodic basis regularly involving themselves in teaching the students their academic subjects

R.O PLANT SETUP

      A reverse osmosis plant was setup free of cost at seven star home, madhuranthagam as a part of Christmas evening.

ROTOPLUS:

       The monthly publication of Rotaract Club. The magazine contains articles written by young children in order to bring out their hidden potential. More than 1000 copies is published and distributed among the orphanages and our college.
